Sanat Dattatraya Patil grew up in Mumbai in the late 1970s and 1980s and often had the opportunity to ride inside the Ambassador. It was one of many three fancy cars, along with Fiats and Jeeps, roaming the city streets at the time. “I have many memories with the Ambassador because of my family members who worked for the federal government and my father who had a Jeep and an Ambassador.” Since then, he has always wanted to be personal. Just before 2009, Borivali resident Patil, while visiting Kerala for a friend's wedding, sat in a gold Ambassador and immediately rekindled his love of cars. "At that time, there were only a few ambassadors in Mumbai, and while I was driving in Kerala, I decided to buy an ambassador in Mumbai."
